Vera Wang’s 2012 Fall “Witchcraft” collection has been called “daring,” “sexual,” ” mysterious,” “frivolous and fun,” while others claim that Vera Wang “can do no wrong.” Um, she sort of can. I get that Vera’s had ivory overload and wanted to push the envelope, but aside from Helena Bonham Carter, what blushing bride on God’s green Earth wants to wear beige and black on her wedding day?! Tell me people, tell me!
Naturally, these gowns are offered in white, but the details don’t quite translate without the color contrast, as seen on this tiny freeze frame from The View.
To be fair, Vera’s Fall 2011 line (pics below) was so incredibly frothy, ethereal, romantic and delicious, that really, she had nowhere to go but south. Clearly, Ms. Wang figured she’d go down with bang.
One and a half Diamond rings for Vera Wang’s “Witchcraft” Collection. At least Mara Rooney would rock one of those gowns on the red carpet.
