1) What was the most memorable moment or aspect of your wedding?
Walking down the aisle on my dad’s arm. It was such a symbolic moment for me being handed off from the man I love most to the other man I love most
2) What was the biggest hiccup?
Santa Barbara seriously caught on fire the Thursday before the wedding. We had a pre-wedding cocktail party on the rooftop of a Santa Barbara hotel and the power went out. All the guests had to take the emergency exit stairs including Grant’s 90 year old grandmother! The Biltmore lost power too but thankfully everything was up and running by Saturday and there wasn’t too much ash everywhere…
3) If you could have done anything differently, what would it have been?
I would have been more involved with my event décor designer. He took on everything himself and wanted some details to be a surprise. In hindsight I should have been included in every detail.
4) Any parting words of advice, wisdom or an anecdote that you’d like to share to future Brides?
Be present. Remember this day is about you and your-husband-to-be!
Thanks for sharing Meaghan!
